China is going through one of the most dramatic changes the world has ever seen. As an effect, the people of China are asking questions such as "How do face this kind of transition?" "How can I be an individual?" and "How do we get through this chaos?" Caused by the experimental period in China between 1949 and 1976, this "new China" has exploded with inspiring awe and intriguing creativity.
One man, Liu Bolid, a photograph, sculptor, and artist, has definitely broken the mold and earned the title "curiously random." Aside from making figurines and capturing unbelievable photos, Liu takes snapshots of his figurines that tell a story, and of himself, standing in front of famous symbols and places.
What is unique about Liu's photographs of live subjects is the method of which his subjects pose. The model stands motionless for four hours while artists paint the subject the exact colors of the background, making them seemingly invisible. Some of his work is pictured below, to show you just how amazing his photographs are.
