Why settle for less when you can have more? Apparently, losing war in a video game is not enough punishment for the player, so TN Games made a vest that lets you feel the action while it's happening
Right from their site:
The FPS Vest is an impact-generating device designed to enable you to feel the game's action for the ultimate gaming experience. It contains eight active zones that simulate the direction and forces of bullet fire, crushing explosions, and fear-inducing finger taps as they occur in the game. The FPS Vest is bundled two games featuring one of the best FPS ever made - Call Of Duty 2. Both PC games included showcase the FPS Vest.
The actuators are located over important anatomical areas that correlate to areas combatants would be targeting if they were trying to inflict damage on you in real life. These include Heart ( Front, left Chest), Lung (Front, right Chest) liver (Front, right abdomen) Intestines (Front, left lower), Lungs (Back, right & left upper), Kidneys (Back, right & left lower).
To run this fear-mongering device, you must have at least a Windows XP. Sorry Mac and Xbox users, the vest is only compatible for PC at the moment. TN Games has not said whether they are making a console version of their vest or not. However they claim that support for consoles will be available for all vests when the console version does come out.
You can read more about this technology on their website or you can view a list of worried customers' questions on their faq page.
What do you think? Would you buy this?
